We met at church at around 8 a.m. The facils were all getting to know each other, so James, Daniel, Timothy and I went to go and light a firecracker in at the back of the church. Because Timothy decided to go and use the fuse to go and play around, we were stuck with just lighting it outside. haha. At first we tried to wrap it in tissue and hope it would light the thing, but in the end Tim just went inside the doors and lit it then ran out. My my, it was LOUD. haha. but the people at the porch didn't notice anything (our excuse was going to be that we set off a normal bomb bag).
After that we just hung around the Sunday guys until the bus came. then we all got on. I fell asleep on the bus ride listening to music. Then James and Tim snatched my phones. haha. that got me awake. hehe.
After arriving we went up and got settled. Basically slacked lah. lay around playing soccer. Then we were all called into the GIRLS room for a intro and stuff like that.. the IJ girls were like totally hyper and all the saturday guys were like.. wtf. haha. so basically they tried to get us to do some ice breakers. hahah. we all dao-ed the facils lah. hahaha. then we had a session about the theme of the camp which was like "Xtreme Makeover".. I don't think it's the same every year.. but hey. haven't asked any sec 3s yet. Then after that SHORT session, we went to play games. haha. Oh and we were also sorted into our groups and also did a small poster about our group. dang. no one took any photos. COUNSEL ROCKS/ROCKED.
Then we broke up for games. My group played I think 2 or 3 games. First we went to play this weird game where I(having the birthday closest to the camp) had to go and throw water bombs to the people one floor below, and they were supposed to catch it with their shirts. hahaha. I remember all the girls shirts were like too fragile to catch them.... so even if they did catch them the bomb exploded in their face!! LOL. hehe.. and the end everyone was wet. but I WASN'T. so I went to go and cope some bombs and slammed them on the top of my head. hahaha. and I was SOAKED. hahaha. I was wearing a dry fit shirt so I was dry in no time. but I still had an unfilled one so I went to go and fill up and dunk more. hahah. then after that game we went to go and have GROUP BONDING. haha. our facils John and David joined us and we started slacking and talking about some rubbish I can't remember. hahaha. I think schools or something. Then after slacking for about 15 minutes we went to play TOUCH rugby. haha.
So fun. lol. We had played in school during PE. so I was quite familiar with it already. haha. the girls were all just hanging back. haha. but Darren and I were like the most enthu of the lot lah. haha. just take and sprint like shit. hahaha. hmm. scored 2/3 tries. but I could have scored one more but I accidentaly threw it on the ground. haha. I can't remember the group we played but it had Edmund and Austyn in it. ;D. so after I can't remember how long of Touch Rugby, we went for lunch. finished at 2.
I think I ate lunch with uhh Jeremy and Daniel and Darren. and Leon. haha. we were playing bridge if I'm not wrong. I can't remember my eating position right now. or what we did while eating. haha. but it was fun. then we went back up and I think we had another session. haha. hmm about pentecost-esque experiences. the rest of that afternoon was sessions. and then to wrap up, we were supposed to make this thing featuring our gift of the holy spirit. then there was supposed to be some competition.
My group was like STONING. for 30 mins. Then I just told our facils that we'll probably be better when we eat some stuff. so we ate for like 30 mins. hahaha. then we gather at about 4.15. the thing was due at 5. so we all panicked. and then i thought up of a pyramid for a shape. with e yes and everything. to represent Counsel. haha. so we quickly chionged and made it. and it was pretty good considering we took 1/2 the amount of time other groups did. haha. then we started to get ready for mass.
Andrew and Brian( the Brookebackers a.k.a Brokenbackers) and I changed inside the mattress room and just sprayed deoderant and stuff. (I only showered the next day). Then we went for mass. Then as soon as we got into the church, I realised something. I HAD FORGOTTEN my Tessera. which has the Catena Legionis(a prayer) on it. so I had to run up and get it. lol. I think Aunty Gerry was locking up when i got up there. so thankfully she let me go in and get my wallet. I ended up sitting next to who.. Daniel i think. or was it someone like that. haha. but more fun were the people sitting behind me. hahaha. Tim, James, Cat and Lianne. haha. so funny. before mass, when the please turn off your handphones sign came off, Tim made it a point to call Andrew and remind him not to use his handphone. LOL. Then during mass, and while singing, they went to go and sing OUT OF KEYYYY. it was terrible. especially since I was in front. and the choir was HORRIBLE. if I do say so myself. haha. I'm a terrible singer. back to the choir, they were trying to sing parts. and they're like super noob lah. so then mass went on. OH and they had cameras focused on the altar. then there was one that showed one of the servers. and he's ultra big. but then he was like really slacking lah. he anyhow dig nose. hahaha. so funn to watch him. and I'm pretty sure he never realised we were watching him. haha. throughout mass Tim and James were joking around lor! and it's supposed to be like the foundation of the church. *faint*. haha. and it was even worse than when they sit in the choir at church!! haha. ohh. haha. everyone was looking at us. so then we just said we were from Christ the King. hahaha.
After that we went back and ate dinner at the usual place. we were supposed to sit in groups. so we still ended up playing cards, with a judicial commisioner no less. heh. we were playing bluff? or was that the next night. All I remember is that EVERY meal meant either arm wrestling or card playing. haha. I can't believe that Tim and James lost to Benita. haha. I was smart. haha. I didn't arm wrestle anyone, lest I lose and get teased about it for the next year. hahaa.
After that, Friar Mike had a Q and A thing with us. I'm sure we were supposed to do something too. haha! buttt. it ended up being this HUGE question and answer session. haha. the highest point was when Andrew asked " Can Catholics Wank". hahaha. Everyone started talking lah. hahaha. and then Friar said some stuff. then someone( I think it was Ruth) asked do you surf Porn? and then he said I try not to. lol. everyone was .. excited by that line. hahaha. yeah.
Then after that we had a movie. Bruce Almighty. It was FUNNY.. haha. and then at the end the girls were like.. there were guys in here? hahaha. then we all left cos we had to and went back to our rooms. then the guys all got ready to sleep, but then all the saturday guys went to the food place to eat. haha. then everyone ended up going outside. except Tim who fired off a firecracker. haha. then if Lianne's right, Catherine went to go and kick the door. haha. and then all the guys went in. haha. then we all ended up going inside, and then we were like talking and then started to plan this party in the girls room the next night lah. haha. with alcohol and all. how ironic. so I, being the guai guy/ afraid to get in trouble guy I am, I went to go and listen in on the facils. I was at the door lor. haha. but they were talking and laughing so hard and loudly that in the end you could hear from where everyone was. haha. which is down an entire corridor. haha. so I was in and out of the girls dorm. the rest of the time I was acting and just jogging up and down the corridor. cos my legs were kinda cramped. haha. all that sprinting during rugby. haha. I managed to fool anyone who was wondering what I was doing. ANYWAY back inside all the girls were all talking. the facils were all talking about the scavenger hunt the next day. so I heard about all the locations EXCEPT ACJC and IKEA. haha. damn. cos those 2 were 2 of our clues. haha. so then the facils suddenly came out. hahaha. heng i was "jogging" hahaa. then they went on a "random" bust of the dorms. of course they went to the girls dorm lah. haha. cos only guys would go into girls dorms. hahaha. then after that all the guys went back. hahaha. the Kinky corner.. lol. Daniel and James and Ben Teo managed to fall asleep lah. haha. I think those were the only guai ones enough to sleep and not sneak into the girls room. haha. but then David Yung wanted to talk to me. So I went into the facils room. haha.
So he first just asked me how camp was. haha. I said fun.. then he was like.. I'm disappointed. then I asked why. then he said he expected me to be in the girls' dorm. I mean come on lah.. I obviously was but he didn't know. and he didn't believe me too. hahah. so then he was just talking about D,I,S,C profiling and stuff like that. oh and he said I have to talk more to Felicia, cos she's actually more sociable and everything than we thought, and we just have to open up and talk to her. so the next morning I did end up asking her to talk more. but back to the talk. then we got to the topic of *********. I don't see why I should censor the name seeing as everyone knows but heck. hahaha. so then he asked me about why I was so stoned and why she was so stoned. haha. and I was like okay okay fine fine. I'll go talk to her more. and I'll get her to talk more. blah blah etc etc. haha. then jon thio came in and the fun began. haha. relatively I guess. haha. I can't remember the sequence of events but somehow a chocolate doughnut managed to get into the room. heh. and there was a lot of talking and facils coming in cos they were woken up as well. then at about 3 I was tired so I just went to the kinky corner, with Aaron, Jeremy, Joel and Edmund.. listened in for a while then went back to my bed and fell asleep instantly.
End of Day One.. so sad. but I was really enjoying camp so far!!
